Have You Given Up Hope?

Many spiritual seekers believe there is no way to describe the essence of Truth or Being. It goes beyond words, beyond categorization and beyond the veil. One could use this mystery as an excuse to give up the journey of healing, growth, or exploration.

What if, just for a moment, you believed you could know the expression of your soul? Would you stop hunting? Would you stop looking for a way to realize your greatest potential? I don't think so. You may actually become consumed and even tarnished by your overwhelming desire to discover and know the truth of your own presence.

Most do not give themselves to the pursuit of self realization due to the fear of burning up in this desire. It's scary to consider the overwhelming response you might have and the rapidity of change in your life that could result!

I'm here to tell you that it's possible to know. You can know that you are the expansive existence of the universe and the creative potential of life itself. You can express this discovery by acting and living your grandest self in the world. The awe and laughter will come when you realize that it doesn't change that much in your life. You still wake up, go to work, spend time with those you love, and wind down at the end of the day with a joyful pastime. You do not become the saint on the mountain top that suddenly devotes every moment to spreading truth. You CAN do that if you choose, but you can also simply--so simply-- go about your life as you already are.

But here is the change: your heart will open. You accept life exactly as it is right now as divine perfection. You will realize that you are not separate from the order of the universe and you will surrender to the life force that moves you. In this intimate surrender, you too can flow from the place of connection and deep knowing.

Right now, take a deep breath. Ask yourself, "Have I given up hope on myself?" Have I given up hope that I can be wise like the sages? If so, listen up. Don't give up that hope. Don't stop believing in yourself and your truth. If you want to give up hope on something, give up the hope that you will discover this truth outside of yourself, outside of this current moment. Give up the hope that by continuing to run from yourself or seek the next grand accomplishment, that you will find what you are looking for. The truth is already here and accessible right now. Turn your gaze inward, and do not fear the nature of your own being. The help and assistance you need to continue this journey is only a phone call away!
