Navigating Fear and Uncertainty in the World

Our world is in unprecedented times of uncertainty. COVID-19 has thrust the globe into a pandemic which we simply do not know how to grapple with. There are so many novel elements that we do not have experience with— the virus… the vaccine… the best treatment approach instead of, or in addition to, the vaccine… the long term effects of all elements… the best political approach… the economic effects… and more.

Many people feel confused. Individuals are making their own risk assessment and determining how to move forward for themselves and their families.

What do I know for certain? I know that uncertainty is uncomfortable. The human mind is wired to want to know. Humans feel safe when they have a clear sense of knowing what is happening and what is the best way to move forward.

Unfortunately, at this point, we do not have clear knowing. It will take a great deal more time before we have the data and experience to provide all the answers we want.

It’s important to know that for the human mind, uncertainty feels like vulnerability. As a globe, we are in a vulnerable time. It feels tender to live for months or years in the not knowing

During times of vulnerability, people and power structures may step in to try to gain power and control by claiming they have the sense of certainty that you desire. “We know what to do! Listen to us! Follow exactly what we tell you to do and you will be safe!”

As spiritual beings, we have to be stronger than simply following the next powerful external force that claims it has all the answers— whether that be the media, government, big pharma, your mom, your dad, a nobel prize winner, a spiritual teacher, a scientist, or anyone else that doesn’t acknowledge that right now— we do not know for certain.

Where is it that we find true safety, security, and certainty? Within the spiritual core of our own being. It is through knowing the Truth of who we are that we can rise above the fear of the mind or physical body to still make wise decisions.

Koyani, my team of spirit guides, has had a lot to say recently about not allowing this time of vulnerability to turn into division amongst one another. Forces that want to gain power and promote their agenda know that they can turn vulnerability into weakness by turning people against one another.

We CANNOT fall into this. We cannot. Do not turn against your family, friends, or community because they do not agree with you. Do not blame anyone for making a different choice than you are making. Please continue to listen to one another. Be curious. Hear an alternate opinion to your own. Practice compassion for the diverse population of humanity that holds different feelings, values, and perspectives.

We can get through this time, but only if we do it together— not if we begin dividing even more into the labels of left vs right, vaccinated vs unvaccinated, caring for others vs supporter of freedom.

Can we lean into surrendering to the uncertainty without going towards more division, rules, mandates, and control mechanisms? I know we all can. We do it by knowing that our true belonging and safety reside in the Source vibrations that we are. Remain with the unconditional love for our challenging times. Love yourself, love your neighbor, and we can all get through this together.

Blessings,

Kelley
